Health Science Students Achieve High Certification Success Rate

Area 31 Career Center is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of students in the Pre-Nursing and Medical Assisting programs. This spring, students demonstrated their dedication and skill by excelling in rigorous national certification exams, setting a high standard for future healthcare professionals.

Pre-Nursing Program: CNA Certification Success
Pre-nursing students participated in the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) state exam through Ivy Tech Community College. Of the students who took the test, one hundred and twenty-nine passed the hands-on skills portion, resulting in an impressive 98% pass rate. Additionally, one hundred and twenty-five students passed the written portion of the exam, with a 95% pass rate. Students who completed both components earned their official CNA license, opening the door to immediate employment opportunities in healthcare and laying the foundation for advanced nursing education.

Medical Assisting Program: CCMA Certification Achieved
Medical Assisting students took the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) exam through the national Healthcareer Association (NHA). Sixty-one students passed the exam, officially earning their CCMA licenses, a nationally recognized credential that validates their clinical and administrative skills in medical office settings.

Area 31 commends all participating students and instructors for their hard work and commitment. These certifications are a testament to the student’s knowledge and preparation and a significant step forward in their healthcare careers.
