Indiana Tooling and Machining Association Competition
Students from Area 31 Career Center competed in the 2024 Indiana Tooling and Machining Association INTMA) High School Precision Machining Contest held at Ivy Tech Community College. On Saturday, Feb. 24, students from all over the state arrived bright and early in the morning to begin a grueling day of machining. This year, thirty-eight students from thirteen Indiana high schools and Career and Technical Education centers competed.
 
Area 31 Career Center is proud of the following students who competed: Simon Reese, Roderick Rumple, Harry Bocakov, and George Fettig. George Fettig placed third in the CNC competition and received an estimated $1,000 plus in tools. In addition, Area 31 received an award of $1000 for the highest place for all competitors combined. Their instructor, Greg Hill, is very proud of the commitment and skills his students displayed.
