Spreading Smiles at Chapelwood Elementary

Spreading Smiles at Chapelwood Elementary

February marked the observance of National Children’s Dental Health Month, an annual initiative to raise awareness about the importance of oral health for children and encourage them to develop healthy dental habits from an early age. To support this important cause this year, our Dental Assisting students took part in an exciting in-school field trip to Chapelwood Elementary, where they shared valuable dental care knowledge with the younger generation.

The students had the opportunity to educate the elementary school children on proper oral hygiene techniques, including brushing and flossing. They also gave them a glimpse of what to expect during a dental office visit, helping ease any potential anxieties. The session was informative and fun, with interactive demonstrations that allowed the children to practice brushing and flossing techniques.

To make the experience even more memorable, each student received a gift bag filled with oral health care products, such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, and floss, to help them continue practicing good habits at home.

We are proud of our Dental Assisting students for their commitment to promoting healthy smiles and positively impacting their community!
