Career Coaching at HCN’s Future Pathway Fair

Career Coaching at HCN’s Future Pathway Fair

On Tuesday, August 26, 2025, the Hendricks County Future Pathways Fair, hosted by the Hendricks College Network at the 4-H Fairgrounds in Danville, welcomed students, families, employers, apprenticeship programs, military representatives, and colleges. The free, walk-in event provided an inclusive and flexible opportunity for attendees to explore a wide range of post-high school pathways, including college, career, trades, and apprenticeship programs. Formerly known as the “College & Career Fair” and the “Virtual Apprenticeship & Trades Fair,” the event has evolved to emphasize exploration and discovery, helping students consider options they may not have previously encountered.

Area 31 Career Center participated by showcasing its hands-on, career-focused programs to high school juniors and seniors, highlighting real-world experiences that prepare students for college, careers, or the military. Career Coach Adam Pearish noted that events like the Fair allow students to discover their strengths and find a path where they can thrive. Through direct engagement, equitable access, expanded awareness of CTE programs, and collaboration with colleges, trades, and military representatives, Area 31 reinforced its mission to empower students to explore their skills and pursue meaningful futures. The Fair provided a valuable platform for students to gain clarity and confidence in planning their next steps after high school.
