The Indiana Department of Education is excited to recognize Area 31 Career Center as a STEM Certified School!
Area 31 Career Center serves as a model for Indiana and is a great example of Indiana’s commitment to teaching the STEM disciplines of science, technology, engineering, and math. Area 31 is preparing students for success in the 21st century. As a STEM Certified School, Area 31 Career Center exemplifies a highly non-traditional approach to education by employing a great deal of inquiry, project based learning, community engagement, entrepreneurship, student centered classrooms, and out-of-school STEM activities. Area 31 has been able to accomplish this feat while following educational policies set by the state and excelling under the system of accountability. Area 31 Career Center went through a rigorous application and review process in order to be awarded, and the Indiana Department of Education congratulates staff and students on this major accomplishment.
Area 31 Career Center is proud to partner with eDynamic Learning for high-quality computer science pathway offerings.
If your home high school does not offer computer science coursework, or you cannot participate in local programs for any reason, then you may be able to access computer science programming through Area 31 Career Center. Please contact your home high school counselor for more details.
