TV Broadcasting
TELEVISION BROADCASTING I
In semester one, students will learn to master the five components of television production: camera, audio, lighting, writing, and editing. This class utilizes the “hands-on,” “show & tell” approach to teaching. Students will have the opportunity to become content managers and/or multi-media journalists. The “hands-on” approach will continue second semester with studio production and incorporating our social media platforms.
In TV Broadcasting II, students will continue to master the five components of television broadcasting, studio production, and social media platforms in this project-based learning class. Students will have the opportunity to provide content for broadcasts, live streaming events, clients, and newscasts. The second semester of this course will give all students the opportunity to master their skills with a portfolio, resume, and job shadowing possibilities.

- Lights, cameras, action! Be a star on BDTV or work behind the scenes
- Learn television camera operations, audio, lighting, writing, and editing
- “Hands-on” approach to learning about studio production, live streaming-tricaster, directing, producing, studio cameras, and studio lighting
- Produce content for our Ben Davis Television Youtube channel

Academic Standards for Success
