Course Competencies and Requirements
- Become proficient in a variety of welding processes including SMAW(stick), GMAW(MIG), GTAW(TIG)
- Study industry standards in: safety, blueprint reading, fabrication techniques, and welding procedures
- Earn American Welding Society(AWS) welding certifications upon successful skills testing

Academic Standards for Success

- Follow precisely a complex multistep procedure when carrying out experiments, taking measurements, or performing technical tasks; analyze the specific results based on explanations in the text.
- Solve problems based on understanding the properties of shapes, such as triangles and circles, and the spatial relationships between angles and lines.
- Solve abstract and practical problems by applying and adapting a variety of strategies. Monitor progress and evaluate answers in terms of questions asked.
